Want a wild and ridiculous ride through space and time? Look no further than this classic, one of my favorite books of all time.

The book starts out with Arthur Dent, a man in Britain who is about to have his home demolished to make way for a new highway. Arthur turns to his friend Ford for help, not knowing Ford's true origins (extraterrestrial) or the adventure that he is about to embark on (also extraterrestrial) and the somewhat pressing matter of the Earth's imminent destruction. What follows is a wild rocketship ride through worlds both bizarre and downright dangerous, and a search for the answer to life, the universe and everything.

This is, in my opinion, one of the funniest books ever written, and its humor is suitable for all ages. It's easy and entertaining to read and I would recommend it to any sci fi fan looking for a good laugh.
