Wow, so I kinda forgot about this blog for a while. But I'm back! So anyways, I've read a bunch of books since the last time I posted but my favorite has probably been Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe. It's hilarious and sad and absolutely breathtaking.

It takes place in the mid 1980s, and starts off with this kid named Ari. Ari can't seem to figure anything out about his life. He doesn't know how to feel about his race or about his school or about himself. He ecspecially doesn't know how to feel about his dad, who returned from the Vietnam war a completely changed man. Ari is pretty miserable.

Until he meets Dante.

Dante is unlike anybody Ari has ever met, and they quickly develop a strong and unique friendship that will have to survive if either of them wants to emerge stronger on the other side.

This book is absolutely stunning. I would recommend it to anybody.
