Looking For Alaska (John Green)

I worship John Green. His writing style is one of my favorites, I've read every single one of his books, and I have cried over most of them (cough, cough, The Fault In Our Stars). Also, his YouTube channel is one of the best things on the internet (It's Vlogbrothers, you should check it out!) That being said, I was not a huge fan of Looking For Alaska. The way it was written was stunning. It was one of the most beautiful books structure wise that I have ever read. However, the plot? Not really for me. If you are a huge romance fan, specifically wonderful yet imperfect girl and longing boy type of romance, then this book is a must read. However, I found the boy (Pudge) rather pathetic, for lack of a better word. Like I said, if you are a romance fan, READ IT. It's full of sob moments and beautiful metaphors, but it just really was not my kind of book.
